This project was developed for the consumption of 60 ton/day of municipal solid waste, and electricity generation of 1.5 MWh. With the current situation of Boa Esperança, which has the production of 40 tonnes per day of urban solid waste that is deposited in a dump, the project will solve both the fresh waste destination and the accumulated liability, since the balance necessary to completely feed the plant (20 ton / day) will come from mining the dump, which is next to the enterprise.
This recovery will be possible through the use of a specific technology, also developed by Carbogas Energia. Thus, Boa Esperança will have an environmentally correct destination in addition to recovering the area where its dump is installed. The environmental installation and operation license has already been issued and has been in force since July 2017.
